Vanessa Gebbie

Vanessa is a Welsh writer living in England. She has won awards for her short stories, flash fiction and poetry, including a Bridport Prize and The Troubadour Prize. Her novel, The Coward’s Tale (Bloomsbury) was a Financial Times Novel of the Year. She is author of two short fiction collections, Words from a Glass Bubble and Storm Warning (both Salt Modern Fiction), and a poetry collection The Half-life of Fathers (Pighog Press). She is contributing editor of the text book Short Circuit: Guide to the Art of the Short Story, editions 1 and 2 (Salt), has been a Hawthornden Fellow, a Gladstone’s Library and a Stockholm University writer in residence, and she teaches widely.
